Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization

The Crawl, Walk, Run approach isn’t just for the littlest people in our lives! Sometimes you have to get back to the basics to prepare for the future, and we believe this is the key to success when it comes to healing or preventing injuries.

Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization or “DNS” is a technique that we use to help our patients leverage the mind body connection to correct faulty movement. DNS is a rehabilitative approach developed by the Prague School of Rehabilitation. Based on the principles of Developmental Kinesiology, it assesses how an infant moves in the first years of life as a blueprint for optimal motor control. Our patients are placed into positions that mimic the 1st year of life to help coordinate the balance between muscle and brain to achieve proper movement. Who knew we would have to crawl before we run even as adults!

DNS is applicable to people with all types of orthopedic injuries and In recent years has gained international recognition as not only a rehabilitative system but as a system for sports performance and injury prevention.
